Bite Beauty Liquified Lipstick Review
I’ve always been down to try anything that Bite Beauty makes, and these are no exception. I was stalking Bite Beauty’s Instagram account after they announced that they were coming out with new lipsticks in anticipation for the release date. So you can imagine my excitement when I got a notification from Influenster saying that I was admitted into the Bite Beauty Liquified lipstick VoxBox. Since the shades in the VoxBox weren’t really my cup of tea, I went out and purchased two additional shades. Here is my review on the Bite Liquified Lipsticks ($C28).
The product comes housed in a lightweight, sturdy matte tube that clicks shut when it’s closed so it is very travel-friendly. There is a clear window at the bottom of the tube that show an exact representation of what the product looks like inside, which I appreciate. The wand is a long doe foot applicator with a long flat edge. The end of the applicator comes to a pointed tip which allows you to line your lips and then the flat edge allows you to fill in the rest of your lips.
This is probably going to be a very underwhelming review, but the product is exactly what the name claims it to be. It is as if Bite melted one of their lipsticks and put it in a tube. Except compared to their infamous Amuse Bouche lipsticks, this formula is a little tackier. Since it is applied from a wand, it also layers on thicker and feels slightly heavier on the lips. The slight tackiness and heaviness definitely keeps you aware of the fact that you’re wearing a lip product during the duration of the wear time. With that being said, this shouldn’t bother most people because even some lip balms feel the same way on the lips.
The Bite Liquified Lipsticks remain to have a slightly glossy finish when they are first applied, and they never dry down. While the sheen dies down with wear, the product remains to feel comfortable and moisturizing on the lips.
The Bite Beauty Liquified Lipsticks will only stay on just as long as a regular bullet lipstick so the longevity is nothing impressive. Without eating or drinking, the colour will remain on my lips for 3 hours before it starts fading. But similarily to most traditional bullet lipsticks, it will begin to fade once you start to eat.
Who would like these?
I would say definitely pick this up if you prefer lip products applied with a wand applicator over bullet lipsticks, or if there is a colour in the Liquified Lipstick line that you know you will get a lot of wear out of. I know that I will be carrying these around with me in my purse during the summer since I find that bullet lipsticks melt in my purse in the hot summer months.
If you’ve made it to the end of the review, I applaud you! There was really not much to say about the Bite Beauty Liquified lipsticks because they perform exactly how you would expect a melted down lipstick to perform.
Have you tried any of the Bite Liquified Lipsticks? What do you think?
