Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer in Light
At first I wasn’t overly impressed with this concealer. When I purchased it, everyone I was following on Youtube were singing praises on this little guy. However, soon enough I followed suit. Even though this concealer feels extremely lightweight on the skin, it packs quite a punch with a solid medium coverage. I wouldn’t recommend this over severe blemishes, but it does tackle the undereyes quite well. I’ve heard great things about the neutralizer shade, so I will be trying that next!
Hard Candy Glamoflauge Concealer
I purchased this when it was recommended by many youtubers a couple years ago. I remember I got it from Walmart during the back to school sale, that is why this is a smaller version of the original size. I am tossing this because as you can see, the oil and the pigment has separated completely. It’s been way too long since I’ve purchased it so it’s time for it to go.
Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in Sand 20
This is probably my favourite concealer from the drugstore. It blends beautifully on blemishes as well as under the eyes, and has great staying power. I’ve even purchased a darker colour to use as a cream contour/bronzer. However, I have neutral cool undertones, and this shade oxidizes to become too orange for me when I am pale. So beware if you have cool undertones! Regardless, I’ve already repurchased this Maybelline concealer and will definitely be using it in 2017!
Sally Hansen Kwik Off
I was hesitant to dip my finger in so much alcohol and acidic substance, but after trying this for myself, I sacraficed the well-being of my fingertips for the sake of convenience on multiple occasions. I purchased this from a retailer that sells products that will be discontinued for a discount. With that being said, I have seen many brands come out with their own version that have a similar format (dipping your fingers in a sponge soaked with nail polish remover).
L’Oreal Magic Lumi Light Infusing Primer
I use this product as an illuminator to mix in with my foundations when they are too matte for my liking, or when they are too full coverage. It has a great finish that looks natural without any obvious glitter. Even though it is white when initially pumped out, it blends out beautifully and leaves the skin with a natural glow!
L.A. Girl Pro bb cream in Light
Similarily to the Magic Lumi Primer mentioned above, I use this mainly to thin our a heavier coverage foundation, and to add a little bit of a glow. The L.A. Girl bb cream has very light coverage and will not coverage acne scars or redness completely. However, it does look very natural on the skin.
Here I only have the box to show you, because I gave the product to my boyfriend after realizing it broke me out! I did try it out for a few weeks before then though, so if you’d like a detailed review, click here!
Rimmel Fix & Perfect Pro Primer in 002
I didn’t realize how much I loved this affordable primer until I took a break from it and tried it again! These past few days have been very warm and I’ve been spending long days in the sun. After the first few days where I’ve come home looking like an oil slick, I rummaged around for a primer. I pulled this one out from my empties bag to prepare for this blog post, and realized there was a little bit left! That day, my base makeup lasted ALL DAY without me needing to blot. This Rimmel primer is affordable and works great!
