SEPHORA Perfection Mist Airbrush Foundation Review
Hi all! Welcome to my first blog post! I thought I would start us off on a strong note, talking about a foundation that is a popular dupe for a much more expensive alternative in the beauty community. Let me present to you, the Sephora Perfection Mist Airbrush Foundation!
Let’s start off with the claims of this product:
- Quick and easy
- Proffessional airbrush results
- Color blends seamlessly
- Makes your skin look smooth and flawless
- Has a matte satin finish.
- Shake well for 5 seconds before use
- Cover hair and clothes. Clothes eyes and hold can 10” away from face, pressing on nozzle and moving in circular motions. Blend with brush. Do not spray for more than 10 seconds.
- Or Spray directly onto brush and buff in.
At a first glance, integrating in your daily foundation routine seems cut down much needed time (mainly to sleep) in your mornings. After shaking the product, the spray nozzle deposits an even layer of product onto your skin in a couple of seconds. There is no time needed to carefully pump, or even worse, pour product onto the back of your hand like most foundations. However, with that being said, I would not call this product “easy” due to the fact that the spray nozzle places product onto your face with a relatively large surface area. The chance that you may get unwanted foundation on your nice white shirt, or your hair is a high possibility. To be fair, the instructions do tell you to “cover hair and clothes”, which contradicts the time saved with the spray nozzle as previously mentioned. So does that make this product less appealing to the girls out there who want to save time with their makeup in the morning? Well, yes, I would think so.
The finish of the Sephora Perfection Mist Airbrush Foundation was beautiful. Sephora did a good job making sure the foundation gave a lightweight, while still providing good coverage. The formula is buildable, and can reach full coverage with multiple layers without looking or feeling cakey. It stood up very well during the day against my oily t-zone compared to other foundations I’ve tried (Maybelline Dream Wonder, L’Oreal True Match, Bourjois serum foundation, Garnier BB cream). The Sephora foundation lasted about 5-6 hours before I noticed shininess on my forehead.

Some beauty bloggers claim that the Sephora Perfection Mist Airbrush Foundation is a dupe for the much coveted Diorskin Airflash Foundation. I do not have the more expensive counterpart to the Sephora foundation, but the majority of reviews say that although there is a slight difference in terms of the feel of both foundations on the skin, the Sephora brand foundation is a great budget-friendly alternative. For more details, GirlGetGlamorous does a fantastic review comparing both foundations.
